Get Involved
There are many ways to get involved in this important project. In fact, your involvement is key to achieving an outcome that reflects the vision of the community and ensuring all perspectives are represented in the alternative scenarios presented to the Board.
First, on March 21, 2023, the team will conduct its second public listening session in Moncure with an open house from 4:30 to 7:30 at the Moncure School. The consultant team will repeat a brief presentation two times during the open house, with the remainder of the time set aside for one-on-one, informal discussions with the team experts and the public.
In addition, there will be numerous virtual and in-person meetings held over the next six months, including, four (4) outreach sessions to be held in the Moncure community. The times and dates of these meetings are listed under the Events and Meetings Tab.

Second, you can join our email list by completing the form on the Plan Moncure home page, or by clicking here.
Third, you can submit a photo showing your favorite parts of southeastern Chatham County and a description of what makes this place special to you. Click here to go to the “Share a Photo” page.
Fourth, visit our kiosk at the Moncure area solid waste and recycling center at 2855 Old U.S. 1, between the hours of 7 am and 7 pm, Monday through Saturday, for updates and information on the project.
Fifth, stay tuned for an on-line survey that will be accessible from this site in the coming weeks. Information will be posted here once the survey is opened and also will emailed to those providing an email address on the Plan Moncure home page.
